| Just about every thread I see it . Semi- topic or non- topic post that make no damn sense in that thread. Great I just tried this! Thanks for the message...us newbies need all the help we can get. Thank you for your advices ... you're the GURU man. I dream a big farm for horse riding.nice advice very motivating..thumbs up thanks for share Very inspiring Thank you Here is the sad thing people you look at these replies then do a user search and find out that all of there replies are exactly similar. The add NO value to this forum! The user in General adds no value to this forum. The end result is they should be banned! I am not pointing any fingers here we even have a network agent here who goes around and tells everyone what douches they are for using BH and how they are going to get banned! WHY? This is a BH forum why do we allow this to go on? There is no way the mods here who already have a work load the size of Alaska can go around and see just who is ban worthy. They can do what they can but if they do not see it they can not do anything about it. Personally I am tired of hitting the damn report button. As honestly it seems like a loosing battle :/ I am going to end up getting a damn heart attack very soon as this really really upsets me! If you are spamming BHW know this your time here will soon be over. I am asking that everyone when they see a reply that does not matter when they see a few word reply when they just see BS hit the damn report button! | |

| I came a cross this info couple days ago I though you guys might want to know:  ------------------------------------------------------------------- In Germany, the file-hosting service Rapldshare has handed over the personal details of alleged copyright infringers to several major record labels. The information is used to pursue legal action against the Rapldshare users and at least one alleged uploader saw his house raided. Like many new releases, Metallica’s latest album “Death Magnetic” was uploaded to the popular file hosting service Rapldshare one day prior to its official release date last year. Since users don’t broadcast their IP-address or distribute files to the public directly though Rapldshare, it came as a surprise when the police raided the house of an uploader a few weeks ago. At first it was unclear how the identity of the uploader was revealed, but today German news outlet Gulli said it had found out that this was likely to be accomplished by creative use of paragraph 101 of German copyright law. It turns out that several record labels are using this to take legal action against those who share music on Rapldshare. Previously the paragraph was only used by rights holders to get the personal details of those who share copyrighted works on file-sharing networks. It basically enables the copyright holders to get “permission” from a civil judge to ask ISPs to disclose the personal details of a user behind a certain IP. Now, however, this also seems to be the case for file-hosting services such as Rapldshare, which is based in Germany. This of course opens up the possibility for rights holders to go after a wide range of file-hosting services and potentially even BitTorrent sites. Indeed, everyone who now uploads a torrent file to a site hosted in Germany is at risk of having his personal details revealed. Although it will be impossible to prove that the uploader actually seeded the file it might be seen as assisting in copyright infringement. Pretty much all torrent sites keep track of the IP-addresses of their (.torrent) uploaders, and if the rights holders can get the IP-address of people who upload to file-hosting services such as Rapldshare, they can easily extend this to BitTorrent sites hosted in Germany. A dream come true for copyright holders, but a nightmare for the privacy of Internet users. Too bad for Metallica’s Lars Ulrich who only just started sharing files himself. Source: torrentfreak{dot}com/rapidshare-shares-uploader-info-with-rights-holders-090425/ ------------------------------------------------------------------- Reff: (Can't post links yet, I had todo it this way) Gulli link: www{dot}gulli{dot}com/news/rapidshare-abmahnung-f-r-2009-04-25/ German copyright law paragraph 101: bundesrecht{dot}juris.de/urhg/__101.html Other documentes found online: Wikeleaks for the one that don't know in here is a great website where you can find confidential documents ... anyways here is an ORIGINAL document provide from RS to the police: https://secure{dot}wikileaks{dot}org/leak/rapidshare-metallica-upload.pdf Last thing: Most of us and I mean by that people that UPLOAD to RS and don't live in germany or france shouldnt be to worry about this, not yet. also rapidshare is registered in CH (Switzerland) but the servers are in Germany... easy to check using ip to location online. just FYI :rain: | |

| Guide: How to change your IP address with a broadband connection/router There are a lot of people out there that are sick of proxies and don't know too much about the other methods of changing their IP's. This thread is for the starters out there. We are going to be using the MAC address cloning technique here to force a change on our IP addresses because our ISP will think we are a new person. Changing IP's is very easy with your dsl/dialup connection however many people with cable/routers have a tough time doing it, it's really easy. Let's get started by opening up your browser type in '192.168.1.1' this is the default linksys router address there are many different one's however this is the standard address (if you have a problem with this one try searching for solutions for your specific router). Type in 'admin' into the password section and leave the username field blank. This is generally the log-in, once again if you have a problem search for your specific router defaults. I wish I can post pictures guys but I have under 15 posts and cannot post URL's, I will update this once I surpass the limit. Ok so now we are logged into the main screen, if you are using the old linksys setup you can go into advanced > mac clone add. otherwise you can find the mac clone address tool in the main page. Let's click it. Now click the start button on windows, get to the run application, generally at the bottom. Type in 'cmd' once you get this black screen type in 'ipconfig/all' this will spit out all the information about your connection. Use the 'physical address' portion and keep it open, we will use this section to type into our mac address clone. After we type this in lets turn MAC address cloning on, and save settings. You should get a screen saying your settings have been saved, now your internet should be dead for a few seconds. Go into status, if your lucky enough to have the disconnect/reconnect settings you will not need to get your ass up and unplug your modem and router, however if you don't press DHCP renew anyway. Now if you do have the disconnect/connect buttons press disconnect then reconnect, and your done. If you do not have these settings get off your ass and unplug your cable modem for about 30 seconds then your router for 30 seconds again. Then plug in your modem, then your router. You should get a new IP address now. To change your IP address again only edit the last box in your MAC address clone tool, and use only HEX values so anything between 0-9 and A-F there are about 65,000 combination's so don't worry about running out anytime soon. Now we repeat the process of either going into status disconnecting/connecting or getting off our asses and plugging out the modem, then reconnecting the modem, then router. :) Congratulations, if you follow these steps correctly your IP address will change and your ready to make about 3-4 posts in craigslist before having to do it all over again! Will post pic's once I pass 15 posts, and press thanks or give some rep. if you found this helpful. | |
