| I’m seeing more and more posts here of newbie’s having no idea where to start with BH, so I thought I’d write a quick guide to covering your tracks to ensure you get paid by your affiliate network. As us Black Hatters already know one of the most important parts of doing Blackhat methods is getting paid. So here are some tips & tricks to get you going: Covering Your Tracks Obviously this is the most important part; blanking or faking the referrer. Networks can see where your traffic is coming from (pretty much the last page your visitors came from) so here are the two easiest options: Faking the Referrer (Recommended): This allows you to make the referrer appear as your own whitehat landing page and looks entirely legit to Advertisers/Networks. There’s a tool here to do this (thanks to Brad1001): http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackha...errer-cpa.html (This is a Wordpress plugin, there’s also the standalone version around now too) – So you need to buy a whitehat domain and set up a landing page for the offer you’re promoting. If you’re making more than a few hundred a day I’d suggest you take the time to making a landing page that looks legit to Network’s (like it would actually convert). Blanking the Referrer (With DMR): The other easy option is to blank the referrer with what’s called a double meta-refresh. There’s a program for it here (thanks to Swiper): http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackha...-referrer.html Or alternatively you can write your own code, or do a search for the code here. Be sure to make sure there’s code so if the referrer isn’t blanked it goes to another page (so there are no leaks). Personally I prefer to fake the referrer as your Affiliate Manager may end up asking you some questions if all your leads come from a blank referrer. Another important thing to remember is using private WhoIs on your domains – otherwise your AM could look up all of the domains you own and find you BH sites. I recommend Name.com for domain registration as they offer this feature free. Communication Is Key Maintaining a good relationship with your Affiliate Manager is important if you plan on earning over a few hundred a day on any one network. I’ve seen here a lot of people saying they distribute their leads over a number of networks to stay under the radar, but I think earning $250/day in your first month on any one network is fine (so long as your referrer is faked), and much more than this once your AM has trust in you. Talk to your AM on AIM or flick them an email every few days to let them know where you’re up to. (Don’t mention BH stuff obviously), but show them your WH pages and mention some PPC networks you are (apparently) using. e.g. “ Hey 'TheirName', Just thought I’d flick you an email and how my campaigns are going. I’ve set up a simple LP for your xxxx offer and its going quite well. I’m promoting through Bidvertiser and have a pixel placed for conversion tracking; I will test out some more keywords and do my best to scale up in the upcoming months. Let me know if there’re any room for some higher payouts on that offer too, it will no doubt help me to increase daily leads. Regards, Your Name Your Company Name ” If you want you can even get them to place a pixel for you with your Adwords or Yahoo SM tracking so you look legit (or Prosper202 code). (so long as your BH method isn’t using your PPC accounts of course). Be Professional Get a company website. And an email: webmaster@yourcompanywebsite.com E.g. XYZMarketing.com You can use a template from TemplateMonster (they have some good ones) or pay a designer to make one for you. There’re some themes here (thanks to CasinoJack) http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackha...0-18000-a.html Just make you own logo etc and edit the template to your liking. Definitely don’t sign up with a @hotmail.com or @gmail.com email or they will be keeping an eye on your from the start. I’d also recommend paying $30/month to get a 1-800 Number too, and actually register your company if you’re serious about IM. Conversion Ratio This is another important one – if your network see your conversion ratio is three times as high as everyone else on the network it raises the red flag big time. Ask your AM what the average CR is for the offer you’re promoting and stick to that. Get some junk traffic from Findology (through your Blanked/Faked link of course) its $1/100 so it’s quite expensive, but it’s reliable, secure and does the job. Otherwise you could try some cheaper sources seen elsewhere on this forum. (Search ‘Junk Traffic’). I never bother about the Banner Impressions CTR, I always edit the banner a bit so impressions are not tracked as it’s really not worth the extra effort and quite unnecessary. Quality Leads If all your leads are shit sooner or later you will get scrubbed from the offer you’re promoting, and run the risk of not getting paid for those earnings. If you’re sending 100 leads to a zip submit / day and not one of those leads complete the second page it looks dodge. This is often the case if you’re iframing offers (or using GODcpa) so it’s best to mix in some WH leads from legit PPC campaigns. Even if you’re running them at a small loss it’s okay, it ensures you will get paid. (you don’t need to fake referrer for your WH campaigns either, so it’ll look more legit) That’s pretty much the basics to getting paid, so abide by these rules and your earnings will be very secure. Obviously I am aware this stuff has been posted before this is just my take on it, and those of you who aren’t new to blackhatting will already know most of this stuff (so please don’t flame me).
