| So I’m toying with the idea of selling Cars on EBay Motors I have a friend who is an auto broker and from time-to-time he has good deals on rare/collector cars…. 1/2 owners great condition with clean vin and proper docs I spoke with him today about a few cars he’s looking to sell and after searching eBay,I discovered that there was in fact a market for a few deals he’s currently working on. I’m not too familiar with eBay, but assuming the owner was willing to allow the vehicle to be sold, how difficult would to orchestrate these type transactions? Specifically Would I need to be registered as an Automotive Dealer? Should I consider partnering with a dealer on eBay and have it listed or would a partnership with a Power Seller who has sold a range of items (no necessarily cars) be sufficient? Once auction is completed, how long would it take for the vehicle owner to have funds in hand/escrowed in order to feel comfortable releasing vehicle to purchaser? What protection would we have from a buyer who decides upon arrival that they simply do not want vehicle without a valid reason? Any feedback or help brainstorming this opportunity would be appreciated Thanks | |

| I hope I'm not totally putting my foot in it, but I've definitely been guilty of some of those short non contributory replies. The reason that I leave them are because the forum has given me incentive. In order to access the cookie stuffing section (something that I'm very interested in) I need to make 50 posts. Personally I'm not big on talking or typing as the case may be, but I do contribute occasionally when something I know might be helpful. My guess is that a lot of these cloggy posts are left a) by people like me who want to access the cookie stuffing section b) people who what to build there cred by raising their post count and c) people who has the incessant urge to contribute to things whether they add value or not. Now by all means ban b) and c) because they don't contribute anything, but maybe end category a) by making the cookie stuffing section available to all. | |
