Some technical knowledge needed Right, as many of you know, I live in the UK and so I know it works here, not sure about the rest of the world though, give it a try. I have a .mobi domain that I have been setting up a website on with multiple offers aimed at mobile device users. These type of websites are crap, absolutely crap. Unless that is, you can get your message across onto their mobile device. Firstly you need a broken iphone, by broken I don't mean it's fallen down stairs or been dropped in the loo, no I mean that it has been unlocked to run unofficial applications. Yes it does invalidate your warranty but it is easy enough to reset to factory settings providing it still works which would "revalidate" your warranty. Anyway you can easily get it broken by Googling it, Quickpwn do a bloody good job of it and others too. So once it's broken what can you do? Well let's start by using installer.app and install "Unix subsystem" and then let's SSH into the phone. Find the iPhones IP address in the wifi config area and SSH into the iPhone using the username root and password alpine, easy enough right? In your ssh session type: apt-get install php then: mkdir /htdocs/ then: mkdir /htdocs/log/ then: chmod 777 /htdocs/log/ then: apt-get install lighttpd then: mkdir /etc/lighttpd/ then: nano /etc/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf Then all of this: Code: include "mod_fastcgi.conf" server.document-root = "/htdocs/" server.port = 8080 #server.username = "_sshd" #server.groupname = "_sshd" server.bind                = "localhost" server.tag ="lighttpd" server.errorlog            = "/htdocs/log/error.log" accesslog.filename        = "/htdocs/log/access.log" server.modules              = ( "mod_access", "mod_accesslog", "mod_fastcgi", "mod_rewrite", "mod_auth", "mod_fastcgi" ) index-file.names = ( "index.html", "index.php" ) Press ctrl + O to save and ctrl + X to exit Type: nano /etc/lighttpd/mod_fastcgi.conf and enter the following: Code: fastcgi.server = ( ".php" => ( "localhost" => ( "bin-path" => "/usr/bin/php-cgi", "socket" => "/tmp/php.socket" ) ) ) Save and exit that one too and then type: lighttpd -f /etc/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf then: nano /htdocs/index.php Ok we now have your iphone set to perform PHP functions. Type "Test" into this file and save + exit it. Go to Safari and: http://localhost:8080 and your test file should be there right?
